Rapiersharp is run by Kevin Rowntree, a theatre practitioner with over 15 years of professional experience in performance and directing.

Kevin is a Stage Combat Instructor and Fight Director. He has trained with the British Academy of Dramatic Combat (BADC) and the Society of British Fight Directors (SBFD) as well as leading experts in the field such as Tony Woolf who was the designer of fighting styles and choreography for Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Kevin is a qualified British Academy of Dramatic Combat (BADC) Stage Combat Instructor and provides tuition in all weapon systems leading to the range of BADC qualifications which are required for professional work. In addition, Kevin has extensive experience of providing both vocational and academic training at Universities, Drama Schools and colleges throughout the United Kingdom and overseas.
