FIGHT DIRECTING
My work as a fight director covers a broad range of styles and the methods and choreography I
use are tailor-made to suit each performance situation. As both an experienced actor and

PERFORMANCE WORK
I design and choreograph performances and demonstrations of swashbuckling swordplay,
dueling, gladiatorial combat, eighteenth century fencing, 'Wild West' saloon brawls and film-inspired combat. These have included performances at festivals and Maritime events, National
Heritage sites and museums.
I regularly undertake performance and directing work in theatre, television and film. In
addition to running Rapiersharp I am also the Artistic Director of Myriad Productions, an
intercultural theatre ensemble that specialises in rare and challenging world theatre. The
company’s methodology draws from the rich heritage of both European and Asian physical
theatre and martial arts traditions.
Most recently, stage performance work has included playing KING DUSHYANTA in the national
tour of Trestle Theatre Company’s production of Little India and CHARLES THE WRESTLER in
the British Shakespeare Company’s production of As You Like It at Stirling Castle.
